My First Original Holiday Card
Text Box: I guess the title is not entirely true. I’m sure I did Christmas Cards for my parents when I was in grammar school but I’m going to skip those. In 1967 I decided to draw an original Christmas Card for each of my best friends. The first drawing is the test done larger than the card. The two smaller drawings are what remains of the seven or eight cards I sent. I did a card for my family as well. I’m sure my parents loved it, I don’t remember my sister’s reaction. I don’t think I did any for people at work. I do remember being disappointed in the lack of reaction from my friends. I’m glad I continued doing original drawings as holiday cards but I remember feeling like giving up after the cold reception these got. I still like these drawings.
